Introduction

For over sixty years I have observed and studied “environments” and the affect they have on human beings.  My view of environment is vastly different than what the average person thinks about environment. Most people think only of the “natural environment”. I too think of that but but view environment holistically. By definition “environment” constitutes all the surrounding biotic and abiotic conditions that affect living organisms, especially rational human beings. Human health is a “complete state of physical, mental, and social well-being” and  is fully dependent on “environment”. Humans, unlike another species, can manage “surrounding conditions” and when done effectively can preserve and enhance health, a “sense of well-being” and the quality of life.
